Does your health sometimes get put on the back burner? Naturopathic Medicine Week can provide you with the opportunity to bring the healthy you back into focus.
In 2010, Mayor Sharon Shepherd declared May 9th – 15th Naturopathic Medicine Week in the city of Kelowna. In its third year, Dr. Brett Phillips and Dr. Brent Barlow from Okanagan Naturopathic Healthcare will be providing the public with the opportunity to kick-start their journey to wellness as well as to learn a bit more about natural heath.
Dr. Phillips and Dr. Barlow will be providing free naturopathic consultations through Choices Market (1937 Harvey Ave.) during Naturopathic Medicine Week. Dates and times will vary throughout the week so call Choices (250-862-4864) to book your free consultation. Appointments are first come first serve and as last year’s events were fully booked be sure to call in today.
Dr. Phillips and Dr. Barlow will also be hosting a free lecture at Chapters (located in the Orchard Park Mall) on May 12th at 7pm on “Natural Treatments for Chronic Pain”. Seating is limited so attendees are encouraged to arrive early.
Okanagan Naturopathic Healthcare’s goal during Naturopathic Medicine Week is to raise awareness about naturopathic healthcare in the Okanagan Community as well as to inform the public about alternative healthcare options. Dr. Phillips and Dr. Barlow aim to educate the public and their patients so that they will become empowered to take personal responsibility for their health care, resulting in lifestyle changes that will foster healing and promote good health.
If you are looking for an alternative approach to today’s healthcare or if you are trying to find an integrated approach to your health then don’t miss out on these events. For more information of Naturopathic Medicine Week visit www.naturopathichealthcare.ca or call 250-860-8855.
